Joey' Chicken Coop
Welcome to my new chicken farming experience. My name is Joey and I'm in kindergarten. I live in the mid-west and I'm about to start my very own mini chicken egg farm.
My grammy bought me baby chicks on March 3, 2014. We went to the local farming supply store and a really nice man helped me pick out nine healthy, happy pullets. Pullet means that the chicks are girls. Straight run means that they can be girls or boys.
As soon as we got the chicks home we had to carefully and quickly get them in a warm small tub with a heat lamp. My grammy thinks I am big enough to feed, water and keep them clean.
